Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati announced a few days ago in a press release that it will bring its Fuoriserie customization program to North America for the 2022 Maserati car model. This program will provide customers with more personalization options. Maserati will also offer three design themes, namely Corse, Unica, and Futura, representing the past, present and future, as a starting point.
According to Maserati, the Corse theme itself takes inspiration from Maserati racing cars in the past, the Unica theme emphasizes contemporary design trends, and the Futura theme is inspired by technology and sustainability. Customers can take a survey to see which theme suits their taste.
Maserati created three customized vehicles to showcase the program, all based on its hardcore Trofeo model. As a refresher, the sportier versions of the Levante SUV and the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans all feature a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 580 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.
The Fuoriserie modified Levante Trofeo uses Orange Zest Metallic paint, 22-inch alloy wheels, and glossy black brake calipers. The interior features Pieno Fiore black leather with Living Coral contrast stitching and gloss carbon-fiber trim. The Quattroporte Trofeo and Ghibli Trofeo both get 21-inch alloy wheels, and glossy black brake calipers, with Verde Royal Metallic, paint on the Quattroporte, and Blu Maserati paint on the Ghibli. This smaller sedan also has graphics inspired by the Maserati Birdcage race car. Both sedans have Zegna Pelletessuta upholstered seats from Maserati, which consist of a thin strip of leather woven like fabric, with gloss carbon macro twill trim.
In addition to the Fuoriserie customization program, Maserati has also launched the Classiche program to authenticate and support classic car restoration. The automotive manufacturer based in Modena, Italy, has also started moving to update its aging lineup. In terms of car production, Maserati recently unveiled the MC20 sports car, and will soon follow with the Grecale crossover and redesigned GranTurismo coupe with hybrid technology.
